Description

Yin Yoga, a slower and more passive style of yoga, invites you to surrender into poses held for longer durations, typically ranging from one to five minutes or even longer. Yin primarily targets the deeper connective tissues – fascia, ligaments, and joints – rather than the muscles. Poses are often practiced seated or lying down, encouraging a deep release and a sense of stillness. Props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks are frequently used to support the body and allow for a more comfortable and sustainable stretch. The intention is to move beyond muscular engagement and create gentle, persistent tension in the targeted areas, fostering flexibility and increased circulation in the joints. Class also includes pranayama, mantra and meditation.
