Hello

Hi!  My name is Cindy.

I am passionate about teaching yoga and providing a safe, welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where students can feel at ease or learn to feel at ease with themselves.  Each small and intimate class meets each individual exactly where they’re at with continuous opportunities to practice self-compassion and self-love. Prompts focus on listening to one's own body for guidance, cultivating mindfulness and connecting movement with breath to improve the person's sense of trust in themselves and their ability to manage stress.  Classes take into consideration modifications/accommodations, trauma and trauma responses, moon cycles, injuries and chronic illnesses/pain; ensuring a personal yoga practice for all.

My Story

I've been teaching yoga since 2021 and have been in an education setting for my entire career.  I hold a Bachelor of Education with a major in Health and Physical Education.  I have been on a healing journey since 2019 and have experienced how a holistic approach to wellness helps one heal. In addition to taking Yoga Teacher Training during this journey I also used naturopathy, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, chiropractic care and reiki to navigate burnout, trauma processing, hormonal imbalances, anxiety and depression, and an autoimmune condition.  I feel that I have come out shining and radiant on the other side of this deep dive and have much to offer others who may be experiencing challenges physically, mentally, emotionally, socially or spiritually.  I would love the opportunity to share the transformative teachings of authentic Hatha yoga and its 8 limbs to all within my community who may resonate with what I’m sharing.

Classes can include asanas, pranayama, mantra, meditation, mudra, cleansing techniques, visualization, relaxation, intention setting, and philosophical teachings.  Yoga offers many strategies to take from the mat into day to day life that help create more ease and peace and flow in this world of noise and chaos.  At the same time, yoga practice can improve digestive and hormonal health and help reduce stress/anxiety/depression.  General physical, mental, emotional and social health and well-being improve as well.  Students also expand their supportive community.

I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of your personal journey.  Please email me anytime at info@pathofom.com to connect.

Namaste,
Cindy

First Time at Path of OM?

  • Path of OM is a local home-based Yoga Studio.

  • Yoga Mat: Bring your own mat if you have one. If you need to borrow a mat, one will be provided for you.

  • Comfortable Clothing: Opt for loose-fitting or stretchy clothes that allow for easy movement.

  • Water Bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the class by bringing your own water bottle.

  • Open Mind: Be prepared to try new things and listen to your body.

  • Feet: Yoga is traditionally practiced barefoot. Some prefer to wear socks. If you need to wear shoes, please bring an indoor-only pair.

  • Other Props: Feel free to bring any personal yoga props you like to use. Studio props will also be available to use during class.

  • Arrive Early: Give 5 extra minutes to discuss the New Student Intake Form with me.

  • Turn Off Your Phone: Let’s practice yoga with as few interruptions / distractions as possible so we can focus on connecting our mind - body - breath!

  • Parking: Look for our Guest Parking signs in the yard so you know where it is safe to park and everyone has a spot.

  • Severe Allergies? We have two beautiful and loving furry family members who do not enter the designated yoga space and do not interact with our yoga guests. Cleanliness and tidiness are a top priority of our environment (the practice of Saucha; Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Sutra 2.4!)
